We have now finalised the dates and venues for our Summer 2018 performances - this follows a similar format to previous years with the orchestra taking classical music to popular outside venues around Marlow and the local area. This summer we will be performing at The Ship in Marlow (Thurs 5th July), The Two Brewers in Marlow (Thurs 12th July) and the Bounty in Bourne End (Sun 15th July).

If you are thinking of joining or would like more information, please Contact Us or visit our Facebook site.

The aim is to be a true community orchestra for the Marlow area, being encouraging and welcoming to new players and to take a varied repertoire to a wide variety of venues in the local area.  The social aspect is important with post-rehearsal drinks at a local pub as well as trips to the Rebellion brewery members nights.

Other events in the local area can be found on WhereCanWeGo.

Spring 2018

Our sole focus for Spring 2018 was the performance of Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 5 at The United Reform Church in Marlow on 22nd March 2018.  The format of the concert was for our musical director and conductor Tom Horn to talk through the symphony with the orchestra playing specific extracts, before performing the work in full. This was a rousing performance thoroughly enjoyed by the audience as well as the players!  This was a free concert, with donations welcomed afterwards for both the Riley Park Trust and Marlow Orchestra.

Winter 2017

Just the one performance over the Winter season saw us perform for the first time at the The Two Brewers in Marlow in their barn.  Needless to say there were a few Christmas favourites in the set, but also some other lively pieces to keep the audience entertained.
